Safeguarding at Bedwas High School
Our school community has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of all our students. If you have any concerns linked to safeguarding then please report back to the main reception or inform one of the following designated safeguarding officers:

There is a child protection poster in all blocks of the school identifying the child protection officers.
All staff are told that if they have any issues that they would like to discuss regarding pupil Safeguarding to contact Mr Webb.
All staff receive Safeguarding training in line with statutory requirements to ensure best practice and this is revisited and reviewed on an annual basis to ensure staff are up to date with the latest procedures & legislation and are clear of the process to follow in case of a Child Protection disclosure.
Safeguarding information is provided to all visitors highlighting the Safeguarding officers and procedures to follow to ensure the protection of the pupil while they are on site . All pupils and parents/carers are made aware of who our Safeguarding officers are.
The Safeguarding team record any child protection/safeguarding concerns on a designated system which enables the safeguarding team to track and monitor any Safeguarding Child Protection issues.
